Meaningful Products and Outcomes
We create useful products and ensure that our clients realize specific results towards their missions.
Our History
Conservation Impact was started in 1996 to dramatically impact the way conservation organizations and related public agencies do their work to achieve on-the-ground results.
Since then, we have worked in 43 states, Australia, Canada, China, and Indonesia with nearly 500 clients on over 750 projects. We work with staff, board members, volunteers, partners, and coalitions to create more potent, sustainable, and impactful organizations.
Our work focuses on organizational development, planning and positioning, marketing, and fundraising. Our staff’s expertise and professional experience makes us uniquely qualified to be of assistance to our clients.
Several years ago we realized that a broader community was beginning to focus on conservation. As a result, we created our sister company, Nonprofit Impact, to work with organizations and agencies dedicated to public and community health, education, and human services. Both companies operate under our corporation, Shelli B. Inc.
Our Staff

Conservation Impact staff bring experience and expertise in nonprofit management, organizational development, marketing, fundraising, conservation science, and biology.
In addition, we hold advanced degrees in nonprofit management, public administration, and ecology. And we serve as faculty for nonprofit management undergraduate and graduate level courses.
Clients benefit not only from our staff’s content area expertise, but also from our experience as professionals in the field with long track records of demonstrated success. We have spent our careers building strong, successful organizations and that gives us real insight into the challenges our clients face.
All work is completed by our full-time staff. We do not outsource work to associates or delegate to interns. Each project has a lead consultant who is your primary contact and completes the work on your project. And since we operate as a team, you also benefit from our combined knowledge and capabilities. Our full-time project coordinator supports your project and ensures that working with us is an efficient, pleasurable experience.
